While a neem spray helps control Japanese beetles, your best choice may be a soil drench at the same 0.5% dilution rate. The grubs pupate in soil and a soil drench will help control them. Repeat the soil drench every five to seven days for at least three applications. Continue to spray to treat beetles that fly in from other locations that haven’t been treated.
